    Wellington will open their NPC rugby title defence against Canterbury at an as yet unconfirmed venue


    They will host three of their five home matches to Jerry Collins Stadium in Porirua - as they did last year.

    Taranaki will put the Ranfurly Shield on the line in the opening round against Northland on August 2.
