Police say the suspected killing of a man in Wellington's Northland isn't linked to a number of other recent homicides in the capital

Police say the suspected killing of a man in Wellington's Northland isn't linked to a number of other recent homicides in the capital

65 year old Simon Bird was found dead on his property on Tuesday.

It comes after a British couple were found dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Roseneath on Monday.

Another suspected homicide -- of 63-year-old Abdul Nabizadah last month, is now believed to be linked to a violent home invasion nearby in Miramar.

Detective Inspector Nick Pritchard says extra Police investigators have been brought in and are working long hours to get answers.
