A number of cats have allegedly been killed in East Auckland by a pair of roaming dogs

A number of cats have allegedly been killed in East Auckland by a pair of roaming dogs

Security footage's caught two dogs jumping into veterinarian Elena Bryant's property in Glen Innes and fatally mauling three of her cats this week.

Auckland Council's Elly Waitoa says they're working to track down the dogs - but says the dog owners have avoided efforts to contact them.

In 2023 - a dog was impounded and an investigation launched into the killing of five cats - including one of Bryant's in the same neighbourhood.

The council's confirmed the CCTV footage appears to show the same dogs from the attack in 2023 but notes the recent incident is still under investigation.
