More than 23 kilos of meth and one thousand MDMA pills have been seized in Wellington

A joint Police and Customs investigation - Operation Armani - has identified drug smuggling into New Zealand over several months.

Police searches also turned up a loaded pistol and ammunition.

Four men, aged 26-to-30, face serious charges - and have appeared in the Lower Hutt and Wellington District Courts .

The meth has a street value of more than eight-million-dollars - and the MDMA was worth 50-thousand.
