Three arrests in Mahuta - after a dispute between dirt bikers and residents, west of Northland's Dargaville

The riders doing burnouts were asked to leave the area - and two allegedly returned carrying firearms.

Police carried out searches of four addresses and a vehicle - and found a shotgun and rifles.

Two accused have appeared in Whangarei District Court on damage, threats and firearm charges - another will appear for driving offences.

    Further charges are possible.
