Almost four years after a baby's body was found in an Auckland recycling plant, Police are still begging the family to come forward

Almost four years after a baby's body was found in an Auckland recycling plant, Police are still begging the family to come forward

Workers discovered the body in 2021 - and the Onehunga community named her Baby Anahera - meaning angel.

RNZ says a coroner's report details fruitless attempts to find the whanau, and couldn't pinpoint the cause of death.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard told RNZ the investigation is still open - saying over time, as friendships change and people move, someone may be some more willing to talk.
