    Auckland FC's desire to launch a women's team hasn't wavered ... it's only the timing that's changed

That's the word from the club bosses, after the A-Leagues' governing body ruled out including a second New Zealand women's team in the competition for another two years - with the 2027-28 season the revised target.

Auckland FC CEO Nick Becker says the club will still develop female pathways and have their women's squad together in 18 months.
