An Auckland sex worker's been sentenced after stabbing a client

An Auckland sex worker's been sentenced after stabbing a client

Open Justice reports last December, Laken Kingi caused the lockdown in Freemans Bay of Auckland Girls Grammar School and a nearby early childhood centre because of the bloody scene.

Court documents state Kingi and her client were fighting about him not paying her, before he tried to run away in the direction of the school.

It notes she chased him down, stabbing him in the shoulder with a hunting knife.

Kingi was sentenced to 10 months' home detention, following reductions for her guilty plea, mental health and pregnancy.
