Ryman Healthcare has bailed on plans for a 240-million-dollar retirement village in one of the most prestigious parts of Christchurch

The company received resource consent for the seven-level village in 2021 - with a swimming pool, gym, bowling green and restored heritage chapel part of plans for the complex on Park Terrace.

But today Commercial Real Estate NZ agents announced they were selling the land.

    Ryman's been approached for comment.
