A female police officer's been seen with a leg wound, after reports an officer was shot in Auckland's Flat Bush this morning

Witnesses say there is a police standoff at the Chapel Road property.

A video seen by the Herald shows a female officer giving another first aid - wrapping a heavily bleeding leg wound in a tourniquet.

Construction workers nearby have told the Herald they were evacuated, and report seeing a large gun barrel popping out from the window of the involved home.

Three local schools are now in lockdown, and a cordon's up between Baverstock and Stancombe roads.
