    Police have launched a critical incident investigation into a fatal crash in Whangarei on Saturday night - after they flashed their red-and-blue lights


    Officers flicked on the lights, after seeing a Holden travelling at high speed on Dave Culham Drive - and it crashed on nearby Memorial Drive.

    Officers gave first aid but the driver died on scene.

    The IPCA has been notified.
