The prominent Christchurch eye surgeon jailed for attempting to murder his landlord, has been warned by the Parole Board, for threatening his victims

The prominent Christchurch eye surgeon jailed for attempting to murder his landlord, has been warned by the Parole Board, for threatening his victims

Ian Dallison was jailed in 2023 after admitting attempted murder and intent to commit grievous bodily harm.

The 66-year-old is currently living at an approved address in Marlborough, but wants to return to Canterbury.

Dallison says he's isolated, and wants to visit family - saying he intends to apply regularly for approved one-off visits, which will mean his victims will be hassled about his plans.

Parole Board panel convener told Dallison to 'be careful', as it sounded like he was threatening victims with consequences if the application's declined.

The board's again adjourned its decision until next month.
