A Dunedin man who sent a secretly-recorded sex tape to dozens of rugby mates, has failed to have his conviction quashed

A Dunedin man who sent a secretly-recorded sex tape to dozens of rugby mates, has failed to have his conviction quashed

Thomas Ryan was sentenced to nine months' supervision in October, after admitting making and posting the video.

He appealed, in hopes of becoming a teacher.

The ODT reports Justice Melanie Harland dismissed the appeal - but did rule that the man's cellphone be returned to him.
