Former staffer at Hutt International Boys School sentenced to 12 months home detention for historical sex offending

A former staffer at Hutt International Boys School has been sentenced to 12 months home detention - for historical sex offending against children

Anthony Derek Francis appeared in the Wellington District Court today charged with indecent acts on boys, relating to victims aged 11 and 14.

While employed at the school, Francis sexually abused two victims in the late 1990s.

A victim found an old, handwritten letter from the man decades later, and realised he'd been groomed.
