Progress is being made toward Destination Queenstown's ambitious carbon zero 2030 target

Progress is being made toward Destination Queenstown's ambitious carbon zero 2030 target

The keystone project launched in 2022 aims to make Queenstown the first tourist destination in the world, with a completely carbon-zero visitor economy by 2030.

CEO Mat Woods says they set the extra ambitious goal to encourage people to make urgent change.

He says there's always more they can do - and they're realistic the goal may not be achieved in the next four years.
