    Fire crews have been called to a fire at a dairy factory near Hamilton


    Emergency services were notified about the smell of gas and loud noises at Open Country Dairy in Horotiu about 9.45 this morning.

    The company says the fire was caused by a fault in an air heater used to dry milk powder.

    There has been a disruption to production, but there are no reports of any injuries.
