Three people have been taken to Middlemore Hospital after a blaze in south Auckland

Three people have been taken to Middlemore Hospital after a blaze in south Auckland

Emergency services were called to Gordon Road in Papatoetoe just before 7.30a this morning

St John Ambulance says one person has serious injuries and two have moderate injuries.

Fire and Emergency shift manager Paul Radden says a two storey house was well alight when three fire engines arrived.

He's not sure about all the injuries.

Radden says one person has burns to the face.

The fire is now extinguished and crews have left the scene.

Firefighters have also dealt with a blaze at a house in Half Moon Bay and in a Mangere garage but no one was hurt, and they're on their way to Rangitoto Island where a boat is on fire
