The impacts of Omicron are reflected in Auckland Council's third quarter results

The impacts of Omicron are reflected in Auckland Council's third quarter results

Restrictions and high levels of isolation and illness, saw lower use of the council's facilities and public transport, which in turn impacted revenues.

The emergence of the variant also had a significant impact on the council's ability to progress capital works.

Capital spend was one-point-481 billion dollars for the nine months to the end of March, down 250-million on the same time last year, and 74 percent of the two billion budgeted for the period.
