Another fire truck has broken down as Auckland crews battled a massive fire at a flower nursery

Another fire truck has broken down as Auckland crews battled a massive fire at a flower nursery

Sixty-four firefighters in 16 trucks were called to the warehouse blaze in Kumeu just before 10 last night.

One of Auckland's heavy aerial appliances broke down for up to 30 minutes at the fire, while the city's only other option hasn't been working for sometime.

A crew from Hamilton was called to respond but was then turned back.

A big-ladder truck also had to be borrowed from Wellington this week.

Crews are continuing to monitor for any hotspots and a fire investigator will be on scene this morning.
