Police say roads throughout the region will be busier, with Rhythm and Vines taking place, and people visiting their families.
They're advising drivers to expect delays, and account for extra-travel time.
Area Commander Inspector Danny Kirk, says officers will be across the district's main-roads and back-roads to ensure safe driving.
He says they'll be breath-testing, and not accepting excuses for poor driving behaviour.
