    World number one Rory McIlroy has ruled out competing in a proposed breakaway Premier Golf League


    The grand prix-style, 18-event world tour - which aims to rival the PGA - would feature 48 players and a $377 million purse.

    Tiger Woods and Justin Rose have been approached.

    The league hopes to launch in 2022.
