Ryan Fox has made his eighth cut at a golf major, parking up inside the top 30 heading into the weekend at the PGA Championship

The Auckland golfer's carded an even par 70, his second straight at Southern Hills, after an up-and-down round.

It leaves Fox nine shots behind American leader Will Zalatoris , in a share of 23rd.

Zalatoris, in just his eighth major, is seeking his first win after four top-10s - and says it's all a matter of belief.

Zalatoris has a one stroke lead.

Tiger Woods has snuck inside the cut at three-over.
