Steven Alker has won his first Seniors Major Championship, shooting a final round eight under 63 to win the Senior PGA Championship by three shots in Michigan.

The 50 year old has now won three times this season to extend his lead in the Champions Tour standings.

And Ryan Fox has been beaten in a four hole playoff by Victor Perez at the European Tour's Dutch Open, but has qualified for July's British Open and next month's US Open.

The World Sevens Series is returning to Hamilton in 2023.

The event, which has been on hold for the past two years due to Covid, is set to take place at FMG Stadium Waikato on January 21 and 22.

The Boston Celtics travel to face the Miami Heat in game seven of the NBA's eastern conference finals series, with the series locked at 3-all.

    Play has just got underway.
