For a moment Ingrid Lindblad wished she had turned pro last week

The 22 year old Swedish amateur holds the clubhouse lead during the first round of the US women's Open in North Carolina after firing a six under 65.

The tournament prize money has more than doubled to US 10 million dollars, the richest purse in women's golf but if she wins, Lindblad won't receive a cent.

Lydia Ko is seven shots off the pace after carding a one over 72 while Julianne Alvarez is one over midway through her round.
