Concerns Wellington's Freyberg pool could be earthquake prone

Concerns Wellington's Freyberg pool could be earthquake prone

The City Council recently commissioned maintenance inspections on the Oriental Parade building.

Preliminary work by the engineers has raised questions about the pool's relationship with the ground.

Chief Council customer and community officer James Roberts says it's complex and the assessment methodology is relatively new.

Roberts says the next step will be an independent review of the work.
