    More than 30 Auckland beaches are unsafe for swimming - after heavy rain


    The Safeswim website says St Mary's Bay, Home Bay, Herne Bay, Te Tinana and Point England beaches have a very high risk rating.

    Less dangerous but still unsafe beaches include Point Chevalier, Judges Bay, Farm Cove, Blockhouse Bay and Titirangi Beach.

    Ppular spots like Piha, Devonport, Muriwai and Bethells beach are all safe.
