    Another top tennis player has withdrawn from the Paris Olympics


    Tokyo silver medallist and 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova has pulled out of the Games with a hand injury.

    Earlier this month, the 25-year-old Czech was the first defending ladies champion to lose in the first round at Wimbledon since 1994.

    World number three Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur and Emma Raducanu are also notable absentees from the women's event.
