    A dampener on the ASB Classic - losing two high-profile women's players to injury before they hit the court


    Tournament director Nicolas Lamperin was hit with the double blow of former US Open champ Emma Raducanu and second seed Elise Mertens withdrawing through injury.

    Both were due to play today.



    Top seed Madison Keys and fellow American Sofia Kenin among the players to advance today.
