    A prisoner's been seriously injured in an alleged assault at a South Auckland prison


    Hato Hone St John was called to the Kohuora Auckland South Corrections Facility just after 2.30pm today.

    A spokesperson for Serco, which runs the facility, says a prisoner was assaulted by another inmate.

    Police are inquiring.
