    Police are working to identify a body found in the water at a North Auckland beach


    The person was found dead in the water at Arkles Bay near Whangaparaoa, north of Auckland's CBD.

    Police were alerted by a member of the public just before seven this morning.

    A blue police tent has now been set up on the beach.
