Bay of Plenty have survived a double yellow card to overcome Counties Manukau 39-22 in their NPC match in Pukekohe

Bay of Plenty have survived a double yellow card to overcome Counties Manukau 39-22 in their NPC match in Pukekohe

The Steamers led 21-7 at the break, then had to weather a Steelers storm after having two players yellow carded within a minute of each other.

Bay of Plenty captain Kurt Eklund was one of the sin-binned duo and says they were rightly punished for their ill-discipline.

Hawke's Bay are on track to record their second win of the season in Dunedin.

They lead Otago ADD SCORE late in the second half, after being up 20-14 at the break.
