Hopes a new shared walking and cycling path in West Auckland will give greater connectivity

The path, which is part of the 350 million dollar Transport Choices package revealed in this year's budget, will allow people to travel directly between New Lynn and Avondale.

Transport Minister Michael Wood says this will mean less congestion, fewer cyclist deaths and a greener infrastructure.
