    Auckland Council has backed Mayor Phil Goff's Climate action budget

    Auckland Council has backed Mayor Phil Goff's Climate action budget


    It will invest more than a billion dollars in emissions reductions, including money to fund more frequent bus routes and low emission ferries.

    More footpaths, cycleways and the planting of new large native trees will also be included.

    The budget will be adopted by the Council's governing body on the 29th of June and will come into effect on July 1st.
