A woman's been charged, over the body of a newborn baby found in a wheelie bin in Auckland

A woman's been charged, over the body of a newborn baby found in a wheelie bin in Auckland

The body was found in a bin on Renall Street in Ponsonby on Tuesday night.

A 32-year-old woman's due in court today, via audio-visual link, charged with interfering with human remains.

Police say it's also a wellbeing issue for the woman - and she'll get the support she needs.

    Investigations are continuing.
