Evidence before the Tenancy Tribunal that a Christchurch man allegedly attacked one of his neighbours, after earlier threatening another with a machete

Evidence before the Tenancy Tribunal that a Christchurch man allegedly attacked one of his neighbours, after earlier threatening another with a machete

The tribunal was told a tenant living in the Otautahi Community Housing Trust complex, went to the man's unit in April because of loud music being played.

It's then alleged the man charged towards the tenant with a machete, threatening to cleave his head open.

Nine days later, he then allegedly attacked a second neighbour, who suffered broken ribs and bruising, spending a night in hospital.

The man has since been arrested, remanded in prison and evicted from the Hillmorton community housing unit.
