    Canterbury has beaten Southland 19-16 in golden point extra time of their Bunnings NPC match in Invercargill


    Fergus Burke has slotted a penalty inside the 22 to win the game, after a back and forth game that ended 16-all at the end of regulation.



    Manawatu beat Northland 31-19 in the day's other game in Palmerston North.

    In the Farah Palmer Cup, Canterbury has cruised past Otago 72-24 to close Premiership round robin and will host the final with Waikato and Wellington to face off next week for the right to meet them.

    Wins today for Horowhenua-Kapiti, Thames Valley, West Coast, Mid Canterbury, Poverty Bay and South Canterbury in the Heartland Championship.
