A Christchurch man's due in court, accused of preying on elderly people in Canterbury, and attempting to steal from them

Police say the man told residents he was a representative of Age Concern, when he entered their home and took bank cards.

Officers were alerted when the resident rang Age Concern Canterbury, and was told they had no representatives in the area.

The 37-year-old has been charged with burglary.
