Health New Zealand's launched a review after a man described as dangerous, absconded from care in Christchurch last night

Police found the 35-year-old man this morning after carrying out extensive enquiries.

Regional Deputy Chief Executive Martin Keogh says they're conducting a review and will consider any recommendations.

He says they want to reassure the public they take responsibility of managing the care and wellbeing of patients and the safety of the community seriously.
