    A woman's in hospital after a stabbing in Wellington


    Police were called to a property on Thorndon Quay around 10 on Tuesday night to reports of an assault.

    They found a woman seriously injured with stab wounds.

    She was taken to hospital and a 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

    He' been remanded in custody and due to appear in the Wellington District Court today -- where he'll be charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
