    Treacherous Wellington weather has assisted the visiting Central Coast Mariners in a 2-1 A-League win over the Phoenix women


    The Mariners scored twice while southerlies were behind them.

    Phoenix coach Bev Priestman says their opponents used the gales well.



    The Phoenix's winning streak has ended at four - they sit three points behind leaders Melbourne City with a game in hand.
