A Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot a 20-year-old black man, has offered her resignation

A Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot a 20-year-old black man, has offered her resignation

Daunte Wright was shot dead in the US city, on Sunday, during a routine traffic stop.

Local mayor Mike Elliot says he's not accepted Kim Potter's resignation, amidst concern she'd be able to resign, rather than be fired.

Police chief Tim Gannon says Potter accidentally drew her gun instead of her Taser - Gannon's resignation has been accepted.
