    Police are asking for witnesses to a fatal crash in Omahu, near Hastings, early yesterday


    A pedestrian died at the scene on Taihape Rd, about 2am.

    Police would like to talk to anyone who saw a person walking near Taihape and Korokipo Rd between 1.40 and 1.55am on Sunday.

    They also want to hear form anyone who saw two logging trucks heading into Taihape Rd about the time of the crash.
