    Two men will appear in court today, charged with attempted murder, in two separate cases - one in Nelson and the other in Dunedin

    Two men will appear in court today, charged with attempted murder, in two separate cases - one in Nelson and the other in Dunedin


    A 40-year-old man will be appearing at Nelson District Court today after a stabbing on Waimea Road yesterday afternoon.

    A 47-year-old was taken to Nelson Hospital with serious injuries, and is now in a stable condition.

    And a 24-year-old man will be appearing at Dunedin District Court today, after a shooting in Karitane yesterday.

    A man was critically injured and taken to Christchurch Hospital.

    Police say in both cases, the men knew each other, and they're not looking for anyone else in relation to either incident.

    Dunedin police want anyone with information about what happened to contact 10-5 .
