    An investigation is underway following the death of a person in a caravan fire in Christchurch


    Police have confirmed a person was found in a caravan in the driveway of a property on Te Maru Place in the suburb of Redwood at 12.40am.

    Detective senior sergeant Colin Baillie says the death is currently being treated as unexplained - the property is under Police guard.

    Police and Fire and Emergency investigators will be carrying out a scene examination this morning.
