A fire has spread across three homes in Lyttelton, near Christchurch

A fire has spread across three homes in Lyttelton, near Christchurch

Emergency services began evacuating nearby residents around 5.15pm last night after being called to the Brittan Terrace blaze.

While all people are accounted for, one home owner was seen outside his burning property worried his dog is still inside.

Footage of the fierce blaze showed bright orange flames shooting out of a home in amongst trees.
