Thousands are moving through Auckland's CBD in today's pro-Palestine march, monitored by a slew of Police officers

Thousands are moving through Auckland's CBD in today's pro-Palestine march, monitored by a slew of Police officers

The previously planned route across the Harbour Bridge was called off due to strong winds.

An organiser has said over a megaphone that as they near the end of the march at Victoria Park, there are still people left at Aotea Square, where it started.

Protestor Neil Towles has travelled from Tauranga, and says this is the biggest protest he's ever seen, even though the bridge march didn't go ahead.

He says it would've been a great spectacle - but is glad a huge group still showed up today.
