The boy was going down the slide when his head was thrown around - knocking his front teeth on the inside joiners of the slide on January the 2nd.
He broke one tooth in half and hit a nerve.
Specialists will assess whether the accident will cause long term problems - but ACC will cover the damaged tooth for life.
The incident came days after the slide was closed for a WorkSafe inspection - triggered when a man's ring caught on a bolt, ripping off his finger - which was then able to be reattached by surgeons.
Both Auckland Council and pool operator CLM say they've now taken steps to better warn the public about the risks of using the slide.
