The Maori Party has launched its campaign to return to Parliament at this year's election

The Maori Party has launched its campaign to return to Parliament at this year's election

Co-Leaders John Tamihere and Debbie Ngarewa-Packer announced the party's flagship election policy Whanau First earlier today.

The new policy would see a quarter of all government funding in the next two years go towards Maori-led projects, organisations and businesses.

Mr Tamihere says there will be many benefits for Maori.

Mr Tamihere says we need more Maori to turn into positive citizens and Whanau First, gives them leverage in their position in procurement of the whole of Government spend.
