    The Corrections Minister is urging women prisoners to break the prison cycle with help from their Maori culture


    Kelvin Davis has revealed more of the Wahine Maori Pathways at Christchurch Womens' Prison today, with Maori ministers appearing before emotional prisoners.

    He hopes the Kaupapa Maori whanau model will change life for them and their families.

    He says it's heartbreaking to hear of women who drop their children off to school, go to the courts and enter prison - in the same day.
