Coach Clayton McMillan has named a 26-strong squad for their two matches against Fiji this month.
Squire took himself out of contention for the All Blacks, with coach Steve Hansen saying the backrower didn't believe he was ready for international rugby.
Other players to miss out on the All Blacks, Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi, Nathan Harris, and Akira Ioane have all be named in the Maori squad.
Harris along with Alex Nankivell, Fletcher Smith and Jordan Hyland are in the team for the first time.
